DRIVERS COPILOT

Privacy Policy

Effective September 16, 2026 · Saz3 Labs · [email protected]

Drivers Copilot is an independent decision-support app for licensed adult drivers. Offer analysis runs on your Android device. The optional City Activity feature uses Internet access to retrieve public event, airport, aircraft, and weather information.

On-device offer processing

When monitoring is enabled, Drivers Copilot reads offer and reservation information visible in the Uber Driver app, including fare, service type, passenger rating, time, distance, schedule, and visible pickup or drop-off text. It uses that information on your device to estimate costs, profit, earnings per mile, earnings per hour, and offer guidance.

If Android's visible text is incomplete, Drivers Copilot may take a temporary screenshot in memory and use an embedded offline text-recognition model. The screenshot is discarded after processing. It is not written to a file, shared, or uploaded.

You may also choose an offer image with Android's photo picker or share an image to Try Offer. Selected images and extracted text are processed on your phone and are not uploaded or copied into app storage. The temporary Try Offer result is discarded when you leave that screen.

Information stored locally

Drivers Copilot stores settings, cost assumptions, goals, consent records, feedback, calculations, and a limited offer and reservation history in its private app storage. Saved history excludes pickup and drop-off addresses. A small bounded runtime log may record app events without raw offer text, addresses, screenshots, notification text, account data, or device manufacturer and model.

City Activity also caches public event records, airport status, aircraft counts, hourly forecasts, your selected area, and alert settings on your phone. If you choose Use my area, an approximate location may be saved locally after rounding to two decimal places.

Accessibility, overlay, notifications, and flashlight

Accessibility is restricted to the Uber Driver package and is used only after a prominent disclosure and your affirmative consent. Display-over-other-apps permission shows the decision card above Uber. Notification access processes Uber Driver notifications locally to wake analysis faster and identify genuinely new reservations. Drivers Copilot does not accept or decline offers and does not control Uber.

If you enable the optional reservation flash and grant Camera permission, Drivers Copilot uses the camera hardware only to blink the rear flashlight three times. It does not take photographs or record video.

Optional screen-capture reading

Capture mode is off unless you choose it and approve Android's screen-sharing request. While Capture is active, Android shows its screen-capture indicator and Drivers Copilot uses a foreground-service notification. The app examines changed screen frames about once a second and also offers a floating read button. This can include the whole screen and other apps you open, not only Uber, so do not use Capture while viewing sensitive information you do not want the app to examine.

Frames and recognized text are processed on your phone and discarded after analysis. Drivers Copilot does not record video, save captured images, upload them, or stream them to another device. Selecting Off or another reading mode, stopping screen sharing through Android, or revoking permission ends the capture session. Android may also end it.

City Activity, Internet access, and location

City Activity connects directly from your phone over HTTPS to NYC Open Data for permitted events, the FAA National Airspace System status feed for airport delay programs, the OpenSky Network for public aircraft positions, and the National Weather Service for hourly weather. These providers receive ordinary connection information, including your Internet Protocol address and the requested public-data resource, and may retain request information under their own policies. Requests identify the Drivers Copilot app/version where required by the provider. They do not include your offer data, screenshots, settings, Uber credentials, or personal identity.

Use my area requests approximate foreground location to select a nearby area and rank airports and venues. The weather request sends the selected approximate coordinate to the National Weather Service, formatted to four decimal places, to find a forecast grid. Other City Activity feeds do not receive your device location. Without Use my area, the app uses a default New York City weather point; manual area selection works without location permission. Location is not sent to Saz3 Labs. You can disable location permission in Android settings and delete the saved area with Delete all local data.

Public events and activity scores are estimates, not live rideshare demand. Airport status describes traffic-management programs, and aircraft counts are public position snapshots, not passenger counts or an arrival schedule. Drivers Copilot is not affiliated with or endorsed by Uber or these public-data providers.

No Saz3 Labs app-data collection

The Android app has no account system, advertising SDK, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Crashlytics, Saz3 Labs analytics or diagnostic-upload service, data export or import, or Android cloud backup. Drivers Copilot does not send offer data, screenshots, settings, location, or identifiers to Saz3 Labs and does not sell personal information. This does not prevent public-data requests or the Google SDK diagnostics described in this policy. The website's optional tester-list form is separate and is described below.

Google ML Kit SDK diagnostics

Drivers Copilot uses Google's bundled ML Kit text-recognition SDK for on-device OCR. Google documents that its Android SDK collects device information (manufacturer, model, Android version/build and available ML hardware), app package/version, a per-installation identifier, performance measurements such as latency, image-format/resolution and input/output-size metadata, SDK configuration/version, feature events, and error codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google encrypts this diagnostic data in transit over HTTPS and states that it does not transfer it to third parties. These SDK diagnostics are separate from the offer images and recognized offer text processed on your phone. This release does not expose an SDK-diagnostics opt-out. See Google's ML Kit data disclosure for details.

Retention and deletion

Local information remains until it ages out of limited history, you press Delete all local data, you clear the app through Android settings, or you uninstall the app. Delete all local data removes Drivers Copilot's private settings, goals, feedback, history, cached public data, saved approximate area, consent records, and runtime files. It does not erase public-data providers' request logs or revoke Android permissions; those permissions remain separately manageable in Android settings. Drivers Copilot has no user accounts or server-side account data.

Security, children, and changes

We minimize stored information and keep it in private local app storage. No device or storage method is completely secure, so keep your phone protected. Drivers Copilot is intended for licensed adult drivers and is not directed to anyone under 18. Material policy changes may require renewed in-app acknowledgement.

Educational use and risk

Drivers Copilot is an educational and informational decision-support tool. Its calculations and guidance may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong and are not financial, tax, legal, employment, platform-account, or safety advice. You are responsible for your driving, account, and business decisions and use the app at your own risk. The Terms of Use contain the full warranty disclaimer and limits concerning financial loss, Uber or other platform-account loss, and other losses.

Website screenshot demo

The optional Try your offer website demo processes your chosen screenshot and calculations in your browser. It does not upload the picture, extracted text, or cost settings, and does not store them in browser storage. Clearing the demo or closing the page removes its references to that data. The browser may cache the website and OCR engine/language files. Normal website requests go to our hosting provider; those requests do not contain your screenshot. This English-language demo uses a different OCR engine from the Android app and asks you to check extracted numbers.

Tester-list request

If you use the optional tester-list form, we collect the Google Play email you provide and any optional name, Android device, location, or notes you choose to submit. Cloudflare processes the request and sends those details to Saz3 Labs at [email protected] so we can review your request and contact you about testing access. A one-way hash of the submitted email may be kept for up to one year to prevent duplicate requests, and a one-way request-address hash may be kept for up to ten minutes to limit abuse. We do not sell this information. You may ask us to remove your tester-list information by emailing [email protected].
